The defining thing about Sunday's run was that it was pelting down with rain. This week we ran and walked from near Lockwood Road Mundaring Weir, with a slightly smaller group than recent weeks (how odd). Skippy and Dark Horse had set a beautiful run & walk through the bush. As we ran, it was interesting to try and guess where the top-down wet from the rain would meet the bottom-up wet from all the bushes. As it turns out, you get a hefty double dose of water from mid thigh to chest! Our new Monk, Dripper, joined the walkers this week due to injury and Torch retained the Lame Duck hat. Flamethrower was sensibly well dressed for the rain and I suspect stayed the driest. Catwalk ran the whole thing with his Dryzabone coat on, which was a bit like having Batman on the run. The closing circle was held with appropriate speed by Redlight and we all dashed for our cars. As I headed for my car it looked as if that El Keeno had taken all his wet clothes off to drive away…but that’s just a wicked rumour as I was polite enough to only verify the top half. ![]() |
