#1444 4th April 2010….Scarlett Runner Bean

The Easter Sunday run again saw Nameless running through the bush between Mount Helena and Sawyers Valley resplendent in ears and a small fluffy bunny as a tail, like an extra from Alice in Wonderland. We had only 2 human walkers this week due to Easter commitments - Leapfrog and Flamethrower, plus Xena the dog, but a healthy pack of runners including Redlight getting back into it! Warning was given by the Hare not to run on through any false trails as one of them would result in stumbling into a swarm of bees which is not a recommended pastime. (The Hare has a large red sting on her back as a souvenir from setting the run). The pack missed many of the devious false trails in the beginning so we all got spread out a bit, but a sneaky short cut by Hare and Torch saw us all together again at Old Sawyers Valley Road. The fast folk soon pulled away again however! Thank heavens there were hot cross buns awaiting to fortify us on our return. The Hare awarded a packet of Chocolate Eggs to Xena for finding the hidden Bunny picture on their walk, but as chocolate is bad for dogs Leapfrog will be making muffins from those for later human consumption. The runners did not spot the hidden chicken on the run, so Nameless received the runners prize on the basis of his costume. The closing decision in the circle was to fine the Monk for not being there to fine anyone.
